Story
As a family, we marked Day of the Dead each year, either when we lived in Mexico and after we moved to London. Now, we are setting up our altar at St. Christopher's hospice on Monday 1st and Tuesday 2nd November. Anyone is welcome on either day.
We are taking part on a very special presentation on 2 November at 6.30pm. We will be sharing what the Day of the Dead celebrations mean to us as a family and how it helped us cope with grief when our beloved Andrew died at the hospice last year.
We will be joined by our friend, Aida Velazco, who will provide insights into the cultural traditions and history of the Mexican Day of the Dead. You will have the opportunity to ask questions, talk with others, take an active part in the altar setting and remember loved ones together.
